Jetson Orin Compatibility with MLA100(MXM/PCIe)

Hello,

We are evaluating the possibility of integrating the MLA100(MXM) with NVIDIA Jetson Orin and would like to confirm hardware and software compatibility, including driver support, SDK availability, and any known limitations or restrictions.

We understand that Jetson Orin is based on the ARM64 (aarch64) architecture, and we have already seen on your website that aarch64 is listed as a supported platform. However, we would like to confirm whether the MLA100 has been validated and is fully supported on the Jetson Orin platform.

Could you please provide any relevant information regarding compatibility, installation requirements, or known issues?

  • Our target environment is NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin running Ubuntu 22.04.

Thank you for your support.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out. We understand your inquiry as follows:

  • Whether the MLA100 (MXM-type card) can be used with the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin

  • Whether the MLA100 officially supports and has been validated on the Jetson AGX Orin platform

  • Whether it can be used in your target environment (NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin, Ubuntu 22.04)

  • Whether there is any additional information you would need

To address these points: the MLA100 officially supports the Jetson AGX Orin platform, and we carry out appropriate validation with each release, so you can use it reliably. It also operates without issue in your target environment, and both the driver and runtime can be conveniently installed through the Ubuntu package manager (apt). Please refer to our official documentation at docs.mobilint.com for detailed instructions.

One point to note is that the Jetson AGX Orin does not provide an MXM slot. You would therefore need to use a suitable MXM-to-PCI Express converter, and we do have some concerns about potential issues arising from this. Should any problems occur during this process, we would be happy to assist you through follow-up inquiries as you proceed.

Please feel free to let us know if you have any further questions.

Best regards,
Jisung
